SENSING THE SELL
February 18th 2010, 19:00-20:45 FREE EVENT

Our senses are assaulted from all sides by advertisers and marketers to try and manipulate our choices. Are you sure that is you that decides what goes in your shopping basket? Can you escape the sensory trap…

Julie Freeman and Dr Ryan Pink invited the public to discover the incredible subliminal selling tactics used on us by shops. They presented an interactive session where smells were recreated in 3D, and the public experienced these sensory manipulation for themselves.

What is the future of odour research and technologies?
