Dark Heritage Workshops - Health & Safety
Bee Arts CIC has created an installation that has undergone rigorous health & safety checks including detailed risk assessments.
Each venue that hosts Dark Heritage has been given full documentation about our Health & Safety procedures and is satifsied with our procedures. Since we began touring The DARK installation in 2004, we have not had any incidents of visitors hurting themselves throughout this time.
All visitors to the installation are watched on cctv used on conjunction with infra red lights. This enables our staff to monitor visitors in the space, even though the area inside the installation is pitch black. NB - this footage is not recorded. All staff are equipped with communications equipment and have a range of emergency procedures in place to react to any situation. The structure is fitted with emergency exit lights.
All visitors are given Health & Safety information before they enter The DARK installation and are advised of what to do if they feel that they want to leave during the show for any reason.
