Dark Heritage Workshops - Health & Safety

Bee Arts CIC created an installation that underwent rigorous health & safety checks including detailed risk assessments.

Each venue that hosted Dark Heritage was given full documentation about our Health & Safety procedures and wis satifsied with our procedures. We have not had any incidents of visitors hurting themselves since we began touring The DARK installation in 2004.

All visitors to the installation were watched on cctv used on conjunction with infra red lights. This enabled our staff to monitor visitors in the space, even though the area inside the installation was pitch black. NB - the footage was not recorded. All staff were equipped with communications equipment and had a range of emergency procedures in place to react to any situation. The structure is fitted with emergency exit lights.

All visitors were given Health & Safety information before they entered The DARK installation and were advised of what to do if they felt that they wanted to leave during the show for any reason.
