This workshop explores the use of rhythms, abstract vocal sounds and gestures which can be made to convey meaning. They will also consider how the body can convey meaning without sound using content based on everyday life on board a slave ship. The workshop will culminate in combining both vocal and physical gestures to convey a story aboard a slave ship.
